<image:caption>Kasa are a Community Interest Company who can create opportunities for Black and Asian people to access psychoanalytic therapies. We are a group of psychotherapists with an interest in providing a space where uncomfortable truths can be spoken.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Home - What we do</image:title>
<image:caption>We provide grants for individuals to have a year of psychodynamic/psychoanalytic psychotherapy. Psychoanalytic psychotherapy as defined by The British Psychoanalytic Council: www.bpc.org.uk/information-support/what-is-therapy We also ensure all psychotherapists who work with us attend a group on unconscious biases. We provide consultation and assessment for any partnership organisations, such as Social Services or third sector charities working with hard to reach populations.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Home - Our approach</image:title>
<image:caption>In establishing Kasa we are creating an anti-racist organisational structure. This then provides reassurance to all those who access the service that they will be heard and treated equally. We hope Black and Asian people will be more encouraged to take up a long-term psychotherapy when thinking about their mental health and wellbeing. We want to change the face of psychoanalysis so that it is a more attractive option to people from communities that would not ordinarily access this type of therapy. There are two levels of fee for consultation. The full fee for those in full employment and a reduced fee for those who are on a limited income. The fee for therapy is set and there is an expectation that those in employment will pay the full fee but we assure you that any recommendations following a consultation for further treatment will take into account your financial circumstances. By providing reduced rate therapy we are removing the cost as a barrier to accessing psychoanalytic therapy.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Home - Who we reach</image:title>
<image:caption>People who wouldn’t ordinarily access this type of therapy. We are particularly interested in more people from Black and Asian Communities, accessing psychodynamic/ psychoanalytic psychotherapy. We hope by more people experiencing psychotherapy they will be inspired to take up training opportunities and create diversity in the field. We would like to create awareness through experience. We plan on providing grants to assist people with funding their training in the near future.</image:caption>
